1.5 Liter Laboratory Double Planetary Mixer

Offering all of the advantages of our larger production size units. Its design offers maximum mixing efficiency over a broad range of applications including low to exceptionally high viscosity pastes ranging from several thousand to several million cps. Extremely close tolerances between blade edges, blade edge to tank wall, and blade edge to tank bottom create intensive kneading action that significantly reduces batch time, increases heat transfer capabilities, and eliminates the need for high maintenance scrapers. The two rectangular blades of 316 stainless steel revolve around the tank on a central axis, while rotating nearly three times faster on their individual axes producing higher shear and quicker mix times. The PLM-1.5 obtains complete homogeneity up to 30% faster than other double planetary mixers.

  • 316 stainless steel heavy duty double planetary mixing blades fully machined and polished with extremely close tolerances between blades, tank wall, and tank bottom.

  • Type 304 stainless steel, completely sealed gear box with heavy duty gears.
