VSA Pillowblock Agitators

The VSA Pillowblock Agitator is designed for maximum efficiency and ease of installation and maintenance for severe duty pulp and paper applications. The VSA agitator can be used to maintain extremely accurate consistency control (± 0.1 %BD), after trim dilution, in severe duty applications such as HD Towers, Blow Tanks, Blend and Machine Chests.

The standard design features of the VSA Agitator is as follows:

• Standard Shaft Sizes: 2.0", 2.5", 3.0", 3.5", 4.0", 4.5", 5.0", 5.5", 6.0", 7.0"
• Horsepower Range: 3 HP to 350 HP
• The A312 hydrofoil impeller is a highly efficient laser designed impeller for pulp and paper duty, producing 30% more flow for the same power or a 50% power savings for the same flow as compared to other impellers currently used in the pulp and paper market
• The A312 is a fixed pitch impeller with removable bolt on blades for ease of installation
• Oversized pillowblock bearings to provide a minimum B-10 life of 200,000 hours. All bearings are grease lubricated
• Stainless steel stuffing box with easy access and simple shut off device
• Piggy back motor mounting with V-belt drives standard for 5.0" machines and lower. Floor mounted V-belt drives standard for larger machines. All V-belt drives are designed with a 1.5 mechanical service factor based on the nameplate horsepower.

Optional Features:

• Split inboard pillow block bearings are available upon request
• Custom wall inserts are available for any chest configuration
• A choice of single split and double mechanical seals are available upon request
• Gear drives are available for all sizes; standard offer for 7.0" machines.
